1. The Foundation (The 10-Step Process)
Most failures happen because of a thin or poorly compacted base. We install a 4” to 6” crushed concrete base, which is significantly stronger than standard gravel. We use industrial gas-powered plate compactors to ensure the ground is rock-solid before a single stone is laid.
2. Precision Leveling
We use fine mason sand for the final bedding layer. This allows for microscopic adjustments, ensuring your patio is perfectly level while maintaining the necessary pitch for water runoff away from your home’s foundation. We Use A Laser to check our Highest Point and Lowest Point.
3. Drainage Engineering
Water is the enemy of hardscape. We don’t just "slope" a patio; we engineer drainage solutions. Whether it’s French drains, integrated catch basins, or strategic grading, we ensure water never pools on your pavers or compromises your retaining walls.
4. Structural Edging & Polymeric Sand
A patio is only as strong as its edges. We use commercial-grade edging restraints and spikes to "lock" the pavers in place. We finish every project with high-quality Polymeric Sand, which hardens to prevent weed growth and insect washouts while remaining flexible enough to handle ground movement.

We use a 4-6” crushed concrete base with industrial compaction. You’re paying for a patio that stays level for decades, not just a single season.
What is a "Lift & Relay," and do I need it?
If your current pavers are sinking, uneven, or holding water, you likely have a base failure. Instead of a total replacement, we can often "Lift & Relay"—removing the existing stone, correcting the underground foundation and drainage, and reinstalling the pavers correctly. It saves you money on materials while giving you a brand-new foundation.
How long does a typical project take?
